About the Artist

From Pigment, to Pixels, to the Present

Trained in classical oil painting at Emily Carr and shaped by years as a VFX Artist and Art Director in the film industry, my artistic path has always been driven by light, composition, and storytelling.

For a long stretch, my canvases remained blank, until my own wedding reignited the need to paint. Unwilling to settle for a standard photograph, I set out to capture our day. Imagination wasn't enough; it was only when I stood in the venue on that morning, witnessing the true light and breathing in the space, that the masterpiece finally revealed itself.

Weddings demand a profound kind of attention. The ordinary is magnified; the subtle becomes significant. I paint to keep what I see there—capturing not just the image of a celebration, but the heavy, beautiful weight of the moment.

My Style

In the lineage of Romanticism and Impressionism.

Unrestrained · Unapologetic · Unmuted

My work draws on the dramatic emotion of the Romantics and the atmospheric immediacy of the Impressionists. Built in oil and acrylic, layer over layer, until the canvas holds the weight of the room — never thinned by restraint, never quieted by neutrality.

A note to couples

Why a live painting?

A photograph freezes a moment. A live painting tells you what the moment felt like.

Your guests will gather around the easel between courses, watching your day take shape stroke by stroke. The painting becomes part of the entertainment, part of the story, part of the night.

Long after the flowers are gone and the dress is boxed away, this painting will hang in your home — soft, luminous, and quietly singing the love that began on that day.
